Gary Porrett was a student of Larry Vickers who took several of Larry’s classes and also hired the former Delta operator for private lessons. He aspired to become a full-time pistolsmith but remained a part-time builder as his construction company took too much of his time. He contacted Combat Tactics to provide a pistol as a “tribute to Larry Vickers” built in the same style and according to Larry’s methods such as the John Miller hard-fit barrel and Pete Single checkered front strap and flat mainspring housingat 25 lpi. The fixed rear sight is custom made. A great value on a Vickers-style pistol from a pistolsmith with low production. Comes with an issue of Combat Tactics in which it is featured.
